Welcome to PDFBook. By downloading, installing, or using PDFBook (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by YumeBytes, a sole proprietorship in Japan.
1. License grant
Subject to your payment of the applicable fees and ongoing compliance with these Terms, YumeBytes grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use PDFBook for personal or internal business use. The full license terms are described in our License Agreement.
2. Plans and payment
- Free: no payment required.
- Pro: $6.99/month or $29.99/year, billed via Stripe.
- Lifetime: one-time payment (see the current price on the Pricing page), valid on up to 3 devices.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the Manage page by entering your license key to open the Stripe billing portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
3. Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Pro subscriptions and Lifetime purchases made through this site. See the Refund Policy for details and how to request a refund.
4. License keys
Lifetime customers receive a license key by email upon purchase. The key is personal to you and may not be shared, resold, or distributed publicly. YumeBytes may revoke keys that are abused, leaked, or used in violation of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or rent the Service.
- Use the Service to process content you do not have rights to.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.
- Abuse the same-origin proxy (
/api/proxy) for purposes other than viewing PDFs you intend to read.
6. Intellectual property
PDFBook, the YumeBytes brand, and all related logos and content are owned by YumeBytes. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest beyond the limited license described above.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YumeBytes will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. In any case, our total liability is limited to the total amount you paid us for the Service (for one-time or Lifetime purchases, the amount you paid for your license).
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature survive termination (IP, disclaimers, limitations) remain in effect.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所).
